A Little about me - wedding photographer and Dad!!

Married father of 2 gorgeous boys, photographer and owner of “Teardrop Photography” based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. I am a professional full time photographer, working from my home studio in County Durham. As a Wedding photographer Durham, I mainly cover the North East of the UK shooting weddings of all sizes, although I am based in the North East I am happy to travel anywhere in the UK or abroad if required.

I’m not only a Durham wedding Photographer, I also offer Portrait and Christening photography. Being a photographer is more than a job, its also a passion and I feel incredibly lucky to be doing something that I love. Whether I’m shooting Weddings or Portraits the buzz I get when I know I have ‘nailed’ a shot and created a beautiful work of art is fantastic as I know my client is going to love it too. The pressure of shooting a wedding is unlike anything else; which I love, and this is where I get the biggest buzz as I love the challenge, passion and excitement that comes from photographing weddings. I see every wedding as a new challenge and push myself to produce better and better images, trying new ideas and new techniques in the pursuit of becoming the best I can be. As well as wedding photography I also specialise in Portrait and Christening photography. I put the same determination and passion from my wedding photography into all of my photography as creating beautiful images is what its all about, walking away from a job knowing my clients are going to love what I have created is what I strive for. Well, what can I say? 5 stars isn't enough. From the pre wedding shoot, to delivering the wedding album, Darren was amazing throughout. From the first meeting, he made us feel very comfortable. On the wedding day, Darren arrived prompt and I'll tell you something, that man put the graft in! The man never sat down for a second (apart from the meal). He was exceptionally friendly, not just to Dean and I, but to all our families and friends. He accommodated any changes we wanted making to the wedding album without the slightest bit of bother. Every photograph Darren took was stunning. The wedding album came hand delivered by him tonight and it's absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking. We received our wedding album, parent albums and usb sticks with all photographs last night and we are blown away with how amazing they truly are!! Even down to the smaller details of everything being so nicely wrapped and the very generous bottle of wine and large 2017 calendar with all our favourite photos from our special day!
